Mango Peach Sparkling Tea (Printable)

Ripe mango and peach purée blended with black tea and sparkling water for a bright, cooling summer drink.

# Required Ingredients:

→ Fruit Puree

01 - 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced (about 1 1/2 cups)
02 - 2 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and diced (about 1 1/4 cups)
03 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
04 - 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)

→ Tea Base

05 - 2 cups strong brewed black tea, cooled
06 - 1 cup sparkling water, chilled

→ Garnish

07 - Fresh mint leaves
08 - Sliced peach and mango for garnish
09 - Ice cubes

# Preparation Steps:

01 - Place diced mango, diced peaches, lime juice and honey or agave into a blender. Puree on high until completely smooth and uniform.
02 - If a silky texture is desired, pour the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, using a spatula to press and extract the liquid; discard remaining pulp.
03 - Add the cooled strong black tea to the pitcher with the fruit puree and stir thoroughly until evenly combined.
04 - Gently fold the chilled sparkling water into the tea and puree mixture to preserve carbonation; stir only until blended.
05 - Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the mango-peach tea over the ice, dividing evenly among glasses.
06 - Finish each glass with fresh mint leaves and slices of peach and mango. Serve immediately while chilled and effervescent.

# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • It tastes like summer in a glass and comes together in minutes with just fresh fruit and brewed tea.
  • The gentle sparkle lifts the fruit flavors and keeps it light enough to sip all afternoon.
02 -
  • Over blending underripe fruit makes the puree stringy so use fruit that yields slightly to pressure.
  • Adding sparkling water just before serving preserves the bubbles and keeps the drink lively.
03 -
  • Taste the fruit puree before sweetening because ripe mango and peach often do not need extra sugar.
  • Chill the tea and the sparkling water ahead of time to avoid melting too much ice and diluting the drink.
